I studied Biotechnology, out of my passion for learning Biology and science in general. I thoroughly enjoyed my lectures and was continuously intrigued by how simple molecules in our body system affect every single aspect of who we are and what we do. Nonetheless, I believed that I would be able to achieve greater things in my life by being a leader, particularly in the business/financial line. Later on, I opted to do a fourth year in Management where I learned a vast variety of modules that were massively different than what I did before – subjects like Finance and HR management. Now, I am grateful that when the time came, I made the right decision to pursue what I thought was best for my future. I am forever thankful to YK for the giving me the opportunity and for always believing in me.
Becoming a YK scholar was the greatest turning point in my life. Ever since, I have gained loads of experience and knowledge that played a huge role in my development especially when it comes to having a non-traditional, progressive thinking.
