Executive Short Courses
Investing in Today’s Talent for Tomorrow’s Promise.
Yayasan Khazanah is offering funds for those who are in the third sector and developmental works to up-skill themselves with Executive Short Courses at reputable universities and institutions. These full time executive short courses could range between 1 day and up to 3 months. The funds will cover the course fee and a round trip economy class ticket (if the course is conducted abroad), and applications are open throughout the year until the allocations are utilised.

  • Arts & Public Spaces
    Short courses or training related to Yayasan Hasanah’s Arts and Public Spaces impact area including Arts & Cultural leadership, Arts & Cultural management and preservation & conservation of textile.
  • Community Development
    Short courses or training related to Yayasan Hasanah’s Community Development impact area including community development planning and evaluation, community engagement, gender mainstreaming in development and social policy in community.
  • Education
    Short courses or training related to Yayasan Hasanah’s Education impact area including school leadership and mental health awareness and activities in school.
  • Environment
    Short courses or training related to Yayasan Hasanah’s Environment impact area including sustainable development, environmental conservation and plastic waste management.
  • Leadership & Strategy
    Short courses or training related to the third sector leadership and strategy including emerging leadership, organizational leadership, inclusive leadership, Non-Profit & Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) strategy, advocacy & policy influencing and social entrepreneur leadership & strategy.
  • Organizational Management
    Short courses or training related to NGO or Social enterprise management including project & programme management, finance & resource management, NGO communication & advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation
    Short courses or training related to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning tools including impact evaluation, result-based management, project monitoring techniques and theory of change.

Eligibility

Application must be for a full time executive short course which could range between 1 day and up to 3 months. Applicants need to propose their desired short course in the application form. The short course must be aligned with the categories listed above and provided by reputable universities and institutions.

Applicants must be Malaysian.

Applicants must not exceed 60 years of age as at the enrolment date for this programme.

Applicant must be able to provide work portfolios to be evaluated by the selection panel.

Applicants should be individuals committed to society, for example, in active participation in the student council, youth work, participation in associations and NGOs that are appropriate.

Prospective awardees are expected to show a strong interest in the development related issues, which is supposed to be reflected in the choice of short courses or trainings, prior work experience and voluntary activities.

    Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master's programme

    To provide research outline/ thesis summary (Research or mixed mode)

    Obtained a distinction or 'A' grade average or equivalent (if there is a point systems) for Master's Degree

    Obtained admission or currently pursuing studies at Yayasan Khazanah's approved universities in the United States of America, United Kingdom or Australia (Conditional offer can be considered)

    Not exceeding 40 years as at the enrolment date for the Doctorate programme

    To provide research outline / thesis summary on the topic they intend to pursue in the Doctorate programme

    Currently working at Khazanah's bond serving institutions which includes but not limited to Khazanah-Linked Company (KLC), Government-Linked Company (GLC), Public Universities, Government bodies or agencies. Upon completion of studies, the candidates are to return back to their current employers to serve their bond.

The Khazanah Global Scholarship is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for bright and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Foundation studies at Kolej Yayasan UEM and Postgraduate studies at selected leading universities around the world.

In addition, recipients of the Khazanah Global Scholarship are provided with leadership trainings and job attachments at leading organisations in Malaysia.

The trainings, job attachments and exposures, and the facility to gain professional experience at leading corporations in the world represent opportunities that we provide in our quest to nurture our scholars to realise their potential to become Malaysia's future business and industry leaders.
